You can print at home cute little labels from avery.com. I like to use Avery Label #8293

they are 1 1/2" diameter

You can even add a cute stroller/car seat toy that could also double as an essential oil diffuser, place 1-3 drops of essential oil on it and you have a traveling infant friendly diffuser, great for stroller rides or car trips.

Easy Peasy DIY Sun Guard Lotion

I have been searching for a DIY Sun Guard lotion recipe and I think I finally found it!

I have tweaked it a little to include some awesome Young Living Essential Oils that are great for healthy skin support. 

All you need is 6 ingredients:

1. Raw Shea Butter 2TBSP

2. Sweet Almond Oil 1/4 C

3. Coconut Oil 1/2 C

4. Beeswax 1/4 C

5. Vitamin E Oil 1 tsp

6. Zinc Oxide 2 TBS

 and 3 Young Living Essential Oils:

1. Helichrysum 5 Drops

2. Lavender 15 Drops

3. Carrot Seed 20 Drops

First combine the top 5 ingredients in a double boiler method on medium heat on the stove top 

Stir and continue to heat till melted

Once melted remove from heat to cool e bit-while this is happening combine the 3 essential oils and zinc oxide together in a glass container with lid. I like to use a pint size ball canning jar for this. 

Then it's time to add the liquid that has cooled for a couple of minutes. Place the lid on tight end shake line nobody's business. (music optional)

Make sure you can't see any zinc floating . Once it's all mixed in you're ready to fill your containers. 

I found these awesome colorful silicone refillable containers great for the lake or travel. They are even airport travel approved! (3oz) 

One batch makes about 8oz so I did have some extra (I made a double batch) and also filled some 4oz glass jelly jars. 

I used Avery Label Size # 8293 and printed my own labels at home.For the smaller silicone bottle tops I cut them down with a paper punch similar to this: paper punch 

And that's it! You have yourself some chemical free Sun Guard lotion you can feel good about putting on yourself-your kids-even your pets!

**Update: Update: we have been using the sun guard lotion this past week, it has been working awesome and I have no complaints from my kids. It is definitely less greasy compared to the diy spray recipies. We still use both, the lotion for the face and the spray on the body. (the spray is much quicker when you have 10 kids to lube up) I highly recommend the lotion recipe to anyone else looking for a safe, less greasy chemical free alternative and I do really love the silicone tubes I purchased from amazon, expensive but they are easy to fill and squeeze as the lotion is a bit thicker.

Thieves Household Cleaner

It's only 10:30 a.m. and I have already found three uses with Thieves Household Cleaner.  THHC is such a part of our daily lives.  Today I used it to clean my eye glasses-my bathroom mirror and my daughters earings.

There are dilution ratios right on the back of the bottle.  Best part it's super duper concentrated so a bottle lasts a very long time. 

I have 3 spray bottles made up with different parts of THHC for easy use.

1. Easy cleaning 

2. Light Degreasing

3. Heavy Degreasing 

The easy cleaning is mainly used for windows and mirrors-leaves a streak free clean every time!

The light degreasing is great for countertops-tables-cleaning your microfiber or leather (just spot check first) I also use this dilution for dusting (who am I kidding I don't dust often-but when I do it works amazing!)

The heaving degreasing is awesome for toilets-showers-getting bugs off the windshields and so much more. I will often spray these harder to clean areas first then do my countertops while the cleaner sits and gives it a bit of time to work first, leaving less work for me ;)

You can find some fun printable household cleaner labels from Lavender Lobby. They print on Avery Label #6464, 6-up.  I plan to make up THHC all purpose light degreasing spray bottles for each of my kids' classrooms this year. I will send along a roll of paper towels as well in place of the chemical laden wipes they request. 

My kids love to help clean and I welcome that as THHC is safe not only for kids but our furry pets too! The other day I gave my kids a bucket of warm water with a splash of THHC and they gave their outdoor toys a car wash.

Mineral Makeup

Why

There are two great things in a person's life, the day you were born and the day you discover why.

My "why" started back was when I was little. Helping my little brother get home safely from school, cleaning my sisters room, consoling a friend when her brother passed unexpectedly. Bringing a smile to my moms face. 

I truly feel my passion is to help others. 17 short months ago, I was introduced to Young Living Oils. At first they were just a way to scent my sensory packs I was creating and selling. Soon I learned there were many health benefits to oiling. Essential Oils fit perfectly to our Chemical free lifestyle we were already living.

I was quickly absorbed by learning how to create things we were already using with Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. From foaming hand soap to hand sanitizer, it was easy and cost effective. Oiling fits into our health, wellness and cleaning budget with room to spare.

Diffuser necklaces

I recently attend the Young Living Silver Club in Utah (another post to come) and we had the opportunity to attend the annual Lavender Days Celebration. While attending I visited the vendor booths and decided I would try to find something for my girls. We have 3; Addisyn 8, Ainsley 6, and Ahlera 4. It isn't hard to shop for them but I wanted to get them something really special. I came across a diffuser jewelry booth, I felt like I hit the jackpot! I had recently attended the Spirit of Wellness event in St. Cloud, MN and was introduced to Diffusing Mamas, Essential Oil Aromatherapy Jewelry. I first learned about diffuser jewelry when I began my journey with Young Living Essential Oils.
